Clínica Moderna has at its disposal the best equipment in terms of digital technology, such as digital radiography, electronic prescriptions, computerized case presentations, CAD/CAM restorations, digitally based surgical guidance, images for implant placement, digital impressions and aligners for orthodontic corrections, CBCT 3D.
CAD/CAM: This technology (computer-aided design/computer-aided fabrication) allows dental restorations, such as crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays, to be fabricated using computerized milling technology. The dentist can work with in-office CAD/CAM to complete same-day dental restorations that would otherwise require two or more visits to complete. Alternatively, in larger cases, you can work with a dental laboratory that uses CAD/CAM technology to create the restorations.
CBCT: This form of CT scan provides dentists with a quick 3D image of a patient’s oral or maxillofacial anatomy. It is the basis for surgical guidance for placement of dental implants. These pre-surgical imaging techniques have made implant placement easier and more predictable, which helps ensure greater treatment success.
Digital X-rays: Digital radiographs capture dental images through a sensor that processes the image in a computer. Digital X-rays provide greater comfort than traditional X-rays and reduce radiation exposure (four digital radiographs equals one classic X-ray). In addition, digital radiographs allow dentists to enlarge images for more accurate diagnosis.
Dental Lasers: For rigid structures, soft tissues or both, dental lasers simplify complex procedures that sometimes required patients to undergo painful healing periods. They cause less bleeding and trauma in the areas surrounding the intervention. Soft tissue lasers are a precision tool for many gingival procedures.
Optical Scanners: We have INTRA and EXTRA Oral and are used in dentistry to provide a digital map of the teeth as well as to create a fingerprint of the anatomy of the tooth. Digital color maps help ensure accurate color analysis to determine shade and custom characterizations of esthetic restorations. Fingerprints offer patients greater convenience than traditional prints.
3D Printer: Production of Aligners, Models, Surgical Guides assisted by 3D CBCT.
